Intellectual property resulting from research at Riga Technical University (RTU) is offered for licencing or acquisition in accordance with Article 39.5 of the Law on Scientific Activity.

The object of the auction is non-exclusive licence for the right to use intellectual property – Latvian patent application No LVP2023000063 “Portable acoustic seal deterrent with non-contact replaceable batteries”, application date 07.07.2023.
Starting price of the Auction Object:
Annual fixed payments in the amount of EUR 456.00 (four hundred fifty six euros and 00 cents) (excluding VAT). Licence fee also includes annual royalty payments in the amount of 2.5% (two point five percent) of the net revenue of the products sold and/or services provided by the Licensee, which include the Intellectual Property, or for which the Intellectual Property was used.
Auction Winner is the Auction Participant who offers the highest auction price for the Auction Object.
The Auction Application shall be submitted in the form of an electronic document, signed with a secure electronic signature by 10:00 (EET) of December 8, 2023 and sent to e-mail licences@rtu.lv until 12:00 (EET) of the same day.

Results of Intellectual Property Repeated Auction “Portable acoustic seal deterrent with non-contact replaceable batteries”
The auction for intellectual property – Latvian patent application No LVP2023000063 “Portable acoustic seal deterrent with non-contact replaceable batteries”, application date 07.07.2023. – took place at Riga Technical University at 13:00 on December 8, 2023.
At the auction RTU received single application. The application for the auction was submitted by SIA “EDAMARINE”, reg. No. 40203331690. The offered amount of annual fixed payment is 456,00 EUR (four hundred fifty six euros) excluding VAT.

Licence fee also includes annual royalty payments in the amount of 2.5% (two point five percent) of the net revenue of the products sold and/or services provided by the Licensee, which include the Intellectual Property, or for which the Intellectual Property was used.

No applications were received; therefore, based on Article 4.8 of the Auction Regulation, the Auction Commission has decided that the Auction has ended with no results.

Riga Technical University Announces Written Auction for Intellectual Property “Simultaneous production of proteins and carotenoids for functional fish feed (ProCaroFeed)”
INFORMATION ABOUT AUCTION
The object of the auction is non-exclusive licence for the right to use intellectual property – know-how “Simultaneous production of proteins and carotenoids for functional fish feed (ProCaroFeed)” – the copyright object of Riga Technical university.
Starting price of the Auction Object:
Fixed payments in the total amount of EUR 55 500.00 (fifty five thousand five hundred euros and 00 cents) (excluding VAT), which consist of License entry fee and annual fixed payments.
Licence fee also includes annual royalty payments in the amount of 1,0% (one percent) of the net revenue of the products sold and/or services provided by the Licensee, which includes the Intellectual Property, or for which the Intellectual Property was used. The royalty payments shall be made for each year starting from the 6th (sixth) year from the moment the Licence Agreement takes effect and until its expiry.
Auction Winner is the Auction Participant who offers the highest auction price for the Auction Object.

The auction for intellectual property – know-how “Simultaneous production of proteins and carotenoids for functional fish feed (ProCaroFeed)” and related copyright – took place at Riga Technical University at 13:15 on November 9, 2023.
At the auction RTU received two applications:
- First application was submitted by SIA “Spalvins BioTech Solutions”, reg. No. 40203450048. The offered total amount of fixed payments is 55 500,00 EUR (fifty five thousand five hundred euros) excluding VAT.
- Second application was submitted by SIA “Feeds4Future”, reg. No. 40203412652. The offered total amount of fixed payments is 55 500,00 EUR (fifty five thousand five hundred euros) excluding VAT.

Riga Technical University Announces Written Auction for Intellectual Property “Bathymetry data post-processing tool HEAL”
INFORMATION ABOUT AUCTION
The object of the auction is non-exclusive licence for the right to use intellectual property – HEAL bathymetry data post-processing tool, HEAL system description and HEAL user manual, the copyright objects of Riga Technical University.
Starting price of the Auction Object:
Annual fixed payments in the amount of EUR 2800.00 (two thousand and eigth hundred euros and 00 cents) (excluding VAT). Licence fee also include royalty payments in the amount of 2.5% (two point five percent) of the net revenue of the products sold and/or services provided by the Licensee, which includes the Intellectual Property, or for which the Intellectual Property was used.

The auction for intellectual property – objects of RTU copyright: “HEAL bathymetry data post-processing tool”, accompanied by “HEAL System Description” and “HEAL user manual” – took place at Riga Technical University at 14:00 on November 1, 2023.

Riga Technical University Announces Written Auction for Intellectual Property «Advanced biodiesel from residual soapstock of oil production»
INFORMATION ABOUT AUCTION
The object of the auction is non-exclusive licence for the right to use the intellectual property – the European patent application No EP22153446.4 «Method for Refining of Soapstock by Acidulation and Solvent Extraction» and know-how on technology for obtaining biodiesel from soap-stock.
Starting price of the Auction Object:
Fixed payments in the total amount of EUR 50 000.00 excluding VAT, which consist of license entry fee payment, fixed license fee payment after technology is adapted and tested and annual fixed license maintenance fee payments and shall be made within ten year period.
Auction Winner is the Auction Participant who offers the highest auction price for the Auction Object.

Riga Technical University Announces Written Auction for Intellectual Property «Technological solution for online drinking water quality monitoring and early warning»
INFORMATION ABOUT AUCTION
The object of the auction is the exclusive licence for the right to use the intellectual property – database and artificial intelligence model for early and automatic detection of potential contamination or water quality deterioration risks for early warning systems for drinking water supply systems, drinking water contamination experimental plan and know-how on online drinking water quality monitoring and early warning technology.
Starting price of the Auction Object:
License entry fee in the amount of EUR 1000.00 (one thousand euros and 00 cents) (excluding VAT), annual fixed payments in the amount of EUR 500.00 (five hundred euros and 00 cents) (excluding VAT) and royalty payments in the amount of 3.00% (three percent) of the net revenue of the products sold and/or services provided by the Licensee, which includes the Intellectual Property, or for which the Intellectual Property was used.

The object of the auction is the exclusive licence for the right to use the intellectual property – Latvian patent application No LVP2020000068 «Method for producing single cell protein with low malondialdehyde concentrations from waste cooking oils» and know-how on technology for utilization of biodegradable by-products into protein rich extract for either ruminants or fish – single-cell protein and related copyright.

RTU is selling international patent application No. PCT/IB2020/053528 «A Printer Head Assembly for a Pultrusion-Type 3D Printer» and related know-how «Finalised additive manufacturing process by deploying hybrid PP/GF yarn as fusion fabrication filament in a printing head described in PCT/IB2020/053528» (hereinafter – Intellectual Property) at the auction.
The Intellectual Property has been created within the framework of the project No KC-PI-2017/55 «Technology for Hybrid Thermoplastic Advanced 3D composite production – 3D.TEHART» of the operational programme «Growth and Employment» of the specific support goal 1.2.1 «To Increase the Private Sector Investments P&A», measure 1.2.1.2 «Support for Improvement of the Technology Transfer System».
Starting price of the auctioned Intellectual property is 25.000,00 Eur (excluding VAT).

The object of the auction is the exclusive licence for the right to use the intellectual property – the Latvian patent No LV15474 «Method for Producing Single Cell Oil from Biodegredable By-products», know-how on technology for obtaining supercritical Omega-3 oil from production by-products and related copyright (hereinafter – the Intellectual Property).
The Intellectual Property has been created within the framework of the project No KC-PI-2017/60 «Supercritical Omega-3 Oil from Production By-products» of the operational programme «Growth and Employment» of the specific support goal 1.2.1 «To Increase the Private Sector Investments P&A», measure 1.2.1.2 «Support for Improvement of the Technology Transfer System».
Starting price of the Auction Object:
fixed payments in the total amount of EUR 74 000.00 (seventy four thousand euros and 00 cents) (excluding VAT), which consist of an initial lump sum fixed payment and annual fixed payments.

The auction for intellectual property – the Latvian patent No LV15474 «Method for Producing Single Cell Oil from Biodegredable By-products», know-how on technology for obtaining supercritical Omega-3 oil from production by-products and related copyright took place at Riga Technical University at 13:00 of 30 November 2021.
The Intellectual Property has been created within the framework of the project No KC-PI-2017/60 «Supercritical Omega-3 Oil from Production By-products» of the operational programme «Growth and Employment» of the specific support goal 1.2.1 «To Increase the Private Sector Investments P&A», measure 1.2.1.2 «Support for Improvement of the Technology Transfer System».

The object of the auction is the exclusive licence for the right to use the intellectual property — the international patent application No PCT/IB2020/053528 «A Printer Head Assembly for a Pultrusion-Type 3D Printer» and the know-how «Finalised additive manufacturing process by deploying hybrid PP/GF yarn as fusion fabrication filament in a printing head described in PCT/IB2020/053528» (hereinafter – the Intellectual Property), with a possibility of buying out the Intellectual Property during the validity period of the Licensing Agreement.
The Intellectual Property has been created within the framework of the project No KC-PI-2017/55 «Technology for Hybrid Thermoplastic Advanced 3D composite production – 3D.TEHART» of the operational programme «Growth and Employment» of the specific support goal 1.2.1 «To Increase the Private Sector Investments P&A», measure 1.2.1.2 «Support for Improvement of the Technology Transfer System».
Starting price of the Auction Object:
fixed payments in the total amount of EUR 37 000.00 (thirty seven thousand euros and 00 cents) (excluding VAT), which consist of an initial lump sum fixed payment and annual fixed payments.
Auction Winner is the Auction Participant who offers the highest auction price for the Auction Object.
The Licensee has the right to acquire the Intellectual Property during the validity period of the Licence Agreement for EUR 74 000.00 (seventy-four thousand euros and 00 cents), from which the amount of payments made by the Licensee to the Licensor is deducted.

Auction Object – technology transfer licence for the right to use the know-how «Multi-Robot System Technical and Manufacturing Documentation, Software» and related copyrights (hereinafter – Intellectual Property).
Intellectual Property is created within the framework of the project No KC-PI-2017/57 «Multi-robot system for industrial cleaning» of specific support goal 1.2.1. «To Increase the Private Sector Investments R&D», measure 1.2.1.2. «Support for Improvement of Technology Transfer System».
Due to the emergency situation in the country caused by Covid-19, taking into account the Order of Cabinet of Ministers No. 163 of 12 March 2021 «Amendments to the Order of Cabinet of Ministers No. 655 of 6 November 2020 «Regarding Declaration of the Emergency Situation»», which prevents the possibility to ensure the submission of Applications in person, the Application shall be submitted in the form of an electronic document by signing it with a secure electronic signature and sending it by e-mail to inovacijas@rtu.lv from 10:01 a.m. of 8 April 2021 until 11:00 a.m. of the same day. The Application must be signed with a secure electronic signature put by 10:00 a.m. of 8 April 2021.
Starting price of the Auction Object:
fixed payments for a period of two years from the date of entry into force of the Licence Agreement in the total amount of EUR 30 000,00 (Thirty thousand euros and 00 cents) (excluding VAT).
Auction Winner is the Auction Participant who offers the highest auction price for the Auction Object.
After the period of two years specified by the license agreement, Intellectual property might be assigned with a deferred payment of EUR 27.00 (twenty seven euros and 00 cents) per each unit of the production sold further which include the assigned Intellectual Property.
The Auction Commission shall open the Applications, at 11:00 a.m. of 8 April 2021 in an open online meeting in platform MS Teams.
